HomeMy WebLinkAbout123-90RESOLUTION NO. 123-90 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE APPROVING A GRANT APPLICATION PROJECT HST FOR NINE PROJECTS IN THE SECOND CYCLE OF THE STATE-LOCAL TRANSPORTATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM (FORMERLY KNOWN AS SENATE BILL 140) WHEREAS, the State-Local Transportation Partnership Program ("Program"), formerly known as Senate Bill 140, was enacted to identify and construct locally-supported construction projects; and WHEREAS, the State proposes that the program be divided into ten cycles; and WHEREAS, the State proposes to appropriate $250,000,000 in fiscal year 1990/91 to match local funds throughout the State for construction on local roads, state highways and public mass-transit guideway improvement projects; and WHEREAS, the Town submitted grant applications for eight projects for possible funding under the first cycle of the Program; and WHEREAS, four of the original eight projects - Green Valley Road (under design), E1 Cerro Boulevard Extension (Under Contract), Front Street/Diablo Intersection (Completed), and El Cerro Boulevard east of 1-680 ("Projects") remain eligible under the first cycle of the Program; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended that the Town Council approve the Grant Application List for the second cycle; now therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the City Engineer be, and hereby is, authorized to submit, on behalf of the Town, grant applications for the Projects in the second cycle of the State-Local Transportation Parmership Program. APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville at a meeting held on June 19, 1990 by the following vote: AYES: GREENBERG, NOES: NONE NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ABSENT: LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF, SHIMANSKY MAYOR ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM:
