A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of Danville
Approving an Encroachment Permit & Right of Entry Agreement
With Pacific Coast Farmers' Market Association
and Authorizing Partial Closure of the
Railroad Avenue Parking Lot
Whereas, the Town desires to host a certified farmers' market in its Old Town business
district;
Whereas, the community and surrounding areas will benefit from the availability of tree
and vine ripened produce; and
Whereas, downtown businesses can benefit from additional shoppers attracted by the
market;; now, therefore
Be it resolved that a portion of the Railroad Avenue Parking Lot shall be closed each
Saturday during the months of May through December from 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM for
the operation of a certified farmers' market; and be it
further resolved that the Mayor be, and hereby is, authorized to execute the
encroachment permit and right to enter agreement with Pacific Coast Farmers' Market
Association in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as
hereafter may become necessary, provided that such changes do not materially increase
the obligations of the Town thereunder.
Passed, approved, and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Danville at a
regular meeting this 15th day of May 1990 by the following vote:
Ayes: GREENBERG, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF, SHIMANSKY
Noes: LANE
