AWARD OF CONTRACT NO. 89-12, CAMINO RAMON TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT
WHEREAS, on March 20, 1990 the Town Council of the Town of Danville
authorized construction of Phase I of the Camino Ramon Extension Project by Resolution
55-90; and
WHEREAS, funding for Contract 89-12, the Camino Ramon Traffic Signal Project,
is included in Phase I of the Camino Ramon Extension Project; and
WHEREAS, a new traffic signal at the intersection of Camino Ramon/Fostoria
Way/Crow Canyon Place has been added to the Camino Ramon Extension Project (and
the Camino Ramon Traffic Signal Project); and
WHEREAS, funding for this new traffic signal will be provided in total by
contributions from the City of San Ramon and private developers, and will not require
additional Town of Danville funding; and
WHERFAS, adding this new traffic signal to the Camino Ramon Extension Project
in~s the appropriation for the project from $1.4 million to $1.528 million; and
WHEREAS, the Town staff of the Town of Danville did, in open session on the
21st day of March, 1990, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as
required by law; and

WHEREAS, the City Engineer and City Attorney have recommended adoption of a
resolution for the purpose of awarding the contract to the responsive low bidder; and
WHE~, the responsive low bid is within the amount budgeted and
appropriated for the Camino Ramon Traffic Signal Project; and
NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered as follows:
1. The Town Manager of the Town of Danville is hereby authorized to make and
enter into a written contract with the responsive low bidder, Community Electric, Inc., for
a contract amount of $446,414.00 and to receive and approve all bonds in connection
therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official
seal of the Town.
2. The City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this Resolution,
transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial
Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, California,
94101. Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to
journeyman be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of
such findings.
