HomeMy WebLinkAbout020-90 RESOLUTION NO. 20-90 NOMINATING THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC DEPOT FOR DESIGNATION AS A DANVILLE HERITAGE RESOURCE WHEREAS, the Town of Danville owns the former Southern Pacific Railway Depot, located on Railroad Avenue in Danville; and WHEREAS, the Depot is an important reminder of our past and symbol of Danville's revitalization; and WHEREAS, the Depot has been nominated for inclusion on the National Register of Historic Places; and WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to recognize and honor the Depot by nominating it as a heritage resource pursuant to Ordinance No. 89-8; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the Town Manager be, and hereby is, authorized and directed to take all actions necessary and proper to accomplish the nomination of the former Southern Pacific Railroad Depot as a heritage resource pursuant to Ordinance No. 89-8. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of Danville at a regular meeting on the 6th day of February, 1990, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: GREENBERG, LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF, SHIMANSKY NONE NONE ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM: CiT~/fTTORNEY
