HomeMy WebLinkAbout206-89 RESOLUTION NO. 206-89 AUTHORIZING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LEISURE SERVICES STUDY WHEREAS, when Danville was incorporated, Town Council determined that the Town would provide community resources for the pursuit of recreational activities and that it would not engage in the delivery of leisure services; and WHEREAS, six years have passed since incorporation and the recreational needs and interests of the community may have changed; and WHEREAS, the Town has grown and the desires and expections of new residents regarding the provision of leisure services are not known; and WHEREAS, in order for Town Council to reconsider the provision of leisure services, a study of existing conditions will be desirable; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that the Town Council hereby finds that the development of a Leisure Services Study is needed to provide a basis from which future decisions regarding the delivery of leisure services may be determined; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town Council hereby authorizes the Manager of Parks and Recreation to coordinate the development of a Leisure Services Study to be presented to Town Council on April 17, 1990. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on November 20, 1989, by the following vote: AYES: GREENBERG, JAGGER, LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF NOES: NONE ABSTAINED: NONE MAYOR
