HomeMy WebLinkAbout159-89 RESOLUTION NO. 159-89 ADOPTING A STATEMENT OF SUPPORT REGARDING THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC DEPOT BUILDING WHEREAS, the Southern Pacific Depot building is a significant historic resource which has been nominated to the National Register of Historic Places; and WHEREAS, the Museum of the San Ramon Valley has been designated to renovate the Depot for museum and community uses; and WHEREAS, the Museum is prepared to raise funds for such renovation; and WHEREAS, the ultimate location of the Depot has not been determined; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council desires to adopt a Statement to enable the Museum to conduct fundraising activities notwithstanding the uncertainty over the Depot's ultimate location; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the attached Statement of Support is hereby adopted, and the Museum of the San Ramon Valley is hereby authorized to use such Statement in its fundraising activities. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting held on Monday, October 2, 1989, by the following vote: AYES: GREENBERG, JAGGER, LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF NOES: NONE ABSTAIN:NONE ABSENT: NONE MAYOR ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM: I~TORNEY
