HomeMy WebLinkAbout136-89 RESOLUTION NO. 136-89 REMOVING STOP SIGN CONTROL FROM THE INTERSECTION OF CLYDESDALE DRIVE AT MAIDEN LANE AND BELGIAN DRIVE WHEREAS, the intersection of Clydesdale Drive at Maiden Lane and Belgian Drive is currently controlled by a stop sign at its east entrance; and WHEREAS, a traffic and engineering study prepared by the traffic safety coordinator on August 31, 1989, recommends 'that the stop sign be removed because it is no longer needed due to recent changes in the traffic patterns at this intersection; WHEREAS, other traffic control devices recently installed at this location will enhance traffic safety; WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Danville hereby finds and determines, on the basis of the foregoing, that removal of the stop sign is in the interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Danville; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that the STOP sign heretofore maintained at the east entrance to the intersection of CLYDESDALE DRIVE at MAIDEN LANE and BELGIAN DRIVE be removed.
