A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE
Authorizing Changes to the Compensation Plan for Town Employees
for Fiscal 1989-90
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the Town as an employer to
provide wages and supplemental benefits for its employees which are
competitive, and which meet the health and welfare needs of
employees, and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has directed the Town Manager, serving
as Personnel Officer, to periodically evaluate the compensation
paid to employees and recommend adjustments as needed to ensure
equitable and competitive compensation for all employees; and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has submitted recommendations to provide
a cost-of-living adjustment for employees for the period July 1,
1989, through June 30, 1990, and modify the Salary Range Plan and
to increase the monthly employer contribution to the benefit plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of
Danville to:
1. Approve a 3.5% cost-of-living adjustment in salary
compensation for all employees effective July 1, 1989, and
direct the Town Manager to implement the adjustments in
accordance with the compensation policies of the Town and
shown in Attachment Ao
2. Set an additional employer contribution of $45.00 per month
for all insurance benefits made available under the
Supplemental Benefit Policy for eligible employees. This
supplement is to be prorated for permanent part time
employees.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of
Danville at a regular meeting duly held thereof, this 19th day of
June, 1989, by the following vote:
