HomeMy WebLinkAbout072-89 RESOLUTION NO. 72-89 ADOPTING THE MASTERPLAN FOR SYCAMORE VALLEY PARK SITE AND APPROVING THE PHASING PLAN FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE PARK WHEREAS, Singer and Hodges, Landscape Architects, were retained by the Town of Danville to develop a Masterplan for Sycamore Valley Park Site; and WHEREAS, Singer and Hodges has participated with the Parks & Leisure Services Commission and the community in a public process in developing the Masterplan; and WHEREAS, the Parks & Leisure Services Commission has considered the Masterplan development at five of their regular meetings; and WHEREAS, on May 9, 1989, the Parks & Leisure Services Commission recommended the Masterplan for adoption by Town Council; and WHEREAS, on June 5, 1989, a Public Hearing was held on the Masterplan for the Sycamore Valley Park Site; and WHEREAS, the Town Council must adopt the Masterplan for the development of the Sycamore Valley Park Site; and WHEREAS, the development of the Masterplan is dependent upon land exchanges with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District and the Zion Fellowship; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Danville Town Council hereby: 1. Adopts the Modified Masterplan for the Sycamore Valley Park Site eliminating the soccer field along Camino Tassajara; and 2. Directs staff to finalize negotiations for land exchanges with San Ramon Valley Unified School District and Zion Fellowship. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of June, 1989, by the following vote: AYES: GREENBERG, JAGGER, LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF NOES: NONE ABSENT: NONE ~TOWN ATTORNEY
