HomeMy WebLinkAbout071-89 RESOLUTION NO. 71-89 AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE OF LOCAL GRANT PROGRAM FUNDING UNDER THE EBRPD REGIONAL OPEN SPACE, WILDLIFE, SHORELINE, AND PARKS BOND ORDINANCE PHASE I AS FOLLOWS: GREEN VALLEY SCHOOL/PARK $430,870 GREENBROOK SCHOOL/PARK $159,521 WHEREAS, the voters of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties authorized the issuance of the Regional Open Space, Wildlife, Shoreline, and Park Bond Ordinance; and WHEREAS, included in this Regional Ordinance was a provision for a Local Grants Program in which per capita funds would be shared by local jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the Phase I allocation for Danville will be $590,409; and WHEREAS, on April 17, 1989, the Danville Town Council adopted Resolution No. 46-89 identifying the four projects to be considered for funding as Green Valley School/Park, Greenbrook School/Park, Hap Magee Ranch Park, and Trails; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council must determine the amount of grant funding to be allocated to specific projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Danville Town Council hereby: 1. Approves the funding for Phase I for the Local Grant Program under the Regional Open Space, Wildlife, Shoreline, and Parks Bond Ordinance for Green Valley and Greenbrook School/Parks; and 2. Certifies that Danville will drop project applications for the Hap Magee Ranch Park and Trails projects from the Local Grant Program; and 3. Appoints the Manager of Parks and Recreation as agent of the Town of Danville to execute and submit all documents which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned projects in such form and pursuant to such provisions as EBRPD and this agency shall agree.
