Home My WebLink About006-89 RESOLUTION NO. 6-89 A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT, AND ORDERING CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 88-1 SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT NO. TRAD 89-1 RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, California that: WHEREAS, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 12th day of January, 1989, publicly examine and declare all sealed bids for the work to be done and improvements to be made, as described and specified in the specifications, contract documents and plans, dated December 22, 1988, for Contract TRAD 89- 1, on file in the office of the City Engineer, to which reference is hereby made for a description of the work and improvements to be done and the materials, supplies and equipment to be furnished therefor; and WHEREAS, said bids were referred to and considered by this Council at its meeting on January 19, 1989; NOW, THEREFORE, it is ORDERED, as follows: 1. This Council hereby rejects all of the above referenced bids, except that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing the work and improvements and furnishing the supplies, materials and equipment necessary therefor, to the lowest responsible bidder to wit: at the unit prices named in its bid. 2. The Town Manager of this Town is hereby authorized to make and enter into a written contract with the successful bidder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of this Town. 3. The City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this Resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works Contract Award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, California 94101. Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings. 4. All actions of the city Clerk and Town staff in calling for and receiving the bids for these improvements are hereby confirmed and ratified. 5. The inclusion of the above-entitled plans, specifications and contract documents for said improvements into the Engineer's Report, approved and adopted as a part of the proceedings being conducted pursuant to Resolution of Intention No. 29-88, will not increase the total amount of the assessment, provide for the elimination or addition of work or substitutions therein, or exclude territory from the assessment district. Accordingly, said plans, specifications and contract documents are hereby ordered incorporated into the Engineer's Report. The Engineer of Work is hereby directed to cause said plans, specifications and contract documents to be included in the Engineer's Report on file with the city Clerk and the Superintendent of Streets. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 19th day of January , 1989, by the following vote: AYES: GREENBERG, JAGGER, LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF NOES: NONE ABSTAIN: NONE ATTEST:
