RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
DANVILLE STREET LIGHTING g LANDSCAPING
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1983-1
(Pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972)
The City Council of the City of Danville resolves:
1. The City Council intends to order the annexation of
certain land and to levy and collect assessments pursuant to the
Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972.
2. The improvements to be made in this assessment
district are generally described as follows:
The installation, maintenance and servicing of
landscaping within public rights-of-way in
conformance with the "City of Danville
Streetscape Beautifioation Guidelines" dated
April 1986.
The installlation, maintenance and servicing of
public lighting facilities within public
rights-of-way as contained within former Contra
Costa County Service Areas L-42, M-6, M-21 and
M-22 within the Danville city limits, except as
modified to include recently subdivided lands
having public lighting facilities.
3. The area proposed to be annexed shall consist of all
land within the incorporated limits of the City of Danville not now
included within Danville Street Lighting 6 Landscaping Assessment
District No. 1983-1.
4. In accordance with the City Counoil's resolution
initiating proceedings, the designated engineer has filed with the
City Clerk the report required by the Landscaping and Lighting Act
of 1972. All interested persons are referred to that report for a
full and detailed description of the improvements, the boundaries of
the assessment district and the proposed assessments upon assessable
lot~ and paroels off land within the assessment distriot.
5. On Nonday, the 8th day of July, 198T, at 7:30 P.M.,
the City Counoil will oonduot a publio hearin~ on the annexation and
the levy of the proposed assessment. The hearin~ will be held at
the meetin~ plaoe of the City Counoil looated at the Education
Center, 699 Old Orohard Drive, Danville, California.
6. The City Clerk is authorized and direoted to ~ive the
notioe of hearin~ required by the Landsoapin~ and Li~htin~ Aot of
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on June 15, 1987, by the
1972.
