HomeMy WebLinkAbout037-87RESOLUTION NO. 37-87 RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE ESTABLISHING A LOADING ZONE FOR THE MORNING HOURS ONLY ON PROSPECT AVENUE BETWEEN HARTZ AND RAILROAD AVENUES WHEREAS, all those businesses on both sides of Prospect Avenue between Hartz and Railroad Avenues have requested the establishment of a loading zone on the southeast side of Prospect Avenue northeasterly of Prospect Avenue; and WHEREAS, the loss of those parking places by the establishment of a loading zone will most directly affect those businesses requesting the establishment of the loading zone; and WHEREAS, the loading zone will be established effective between the hours of 3:00 A.M. and 12:00 Noon; and WHEREAS, the establishment of a loading zone will minimize the number of delivery vehicles currently double- parking on Prospect Avenue; and WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the State of California Vehicle Code authorizes the Town Council to restrict parking on public streets. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby resolved as follows: A loading zone between the hours of 3:00 A.M. and 12:00 Noon, with appropriate signage and curb paint, is established on the southeasterly side of Prospect Avenue beginning 75 feet northeasterly of Railroad Avenue and extending 40 feet northeasterly thereof. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of June, 1987, by the following vote: AYES: Kennett, Lane, McNeely, Offenhartz, Schlendorf NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None City Clerk
