HomeMy WebLinkAbout059-86RESOLUTION NO. 59-86 ARESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF DANVILLE DIRECTING PREPARATION OF ANNUAL REPORT FOR DANVILLE STREET LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1983-1 WHEREAS, by its Resolution No. 72-83, this City Council ordered the formation of and levied the first assessment within the Danville Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District 1983-1, (the "District") pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972 (commencing at Section 22500 of the California Streets and Highways Code) (hereinafter "the Act"); and WHEREAS, Sections 22620 et seq. of the Act provide for the levy of annual assessments after formation of the District; WHEREAS, within said District, the existing and proposed improvements and any substantial changes proposed to be made to the existing improvements are generally as described in Exhibit A attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Danville City Council does hereby designate the Danville City Engineer as Engineer for purposes of preparing and filing with the Clerk a written report in accordance with Section 22565 et seq. of the Act; said Engineer is hereby directed to apportion said assessments in accordance to the benefits received form said improvements by the lots, pieces and parcels of land within the District, and said Engineer is hereby directed to accomplish such preparation and filing forthwith. Cit~ Exhibit A Description of Improvements The "Danville Streets Lighting and Landscape Assessment District No. 1983-1" provides for the levy and collection of assessments sufficient to pay for improvements generally described as follows: The installation of landscaping, public lighting facilities and facilities appurtenant thereto or which are necessary or convenient for their maintenance or servicing, and the maintenance or servicing of the foregoing. The improvements for the 1986/87 fiscal year would be limited to the servicing or maintenance, or both of existing public lighting facilities. No substantial changes in the existing improvements are proposed for the 1986/87 fiscal year.
