HomeMy WebLinkAbout054-86RESOLUTION NO. 54-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE Fixing Ranges of Compensation for Employees and Authorizing a Cost-of-Living Adjustment Effective June 30, 1986 WHEREAS, the City Council has previously established a Control Point Salary Range Plan which fixes the limits of compensation for City employees; and WHEREAS, the City Council has directed the City Manager, serving as Personnel Officer, to periodically evaluate the compensation paid to employees and recommend adjustments as needed to insure equitable and competitive compensation for all employees; and WHEREAS the City Manager has submitted recommendations to provide a cost-of-living adjustment for employees for the period July 1, 1986, through June 30, 1987, and modify the Control Point Salary Range Plan. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE TO: lo Approve the Control Point Salary Range Plan, attached as Exhibit A, as the base salary plan for personnel employed in positions assigned to the classifications listed in the plan effective June 30, 1986. · Approve a 4.0% cost-of-living adjustment for all employees effective June 30, 1986 and direct the City Manager to implement the adjustments in accordance with the compensation policies of the city. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 7th day of July, 1986, by the following vote: AYES: Kennett, McNeely, Schlendorf NOES: None ABSENT: Lane, Offenhartz Attest: <~t~e~k _~~~~/~ C MayPo r o f~Danv i/fl l~/e~~ Exhibit A CITY OF DANVILLE CONTROL POINT SALARY RANGE PLAN Effective June 30, 1986 A monthly salary rate shall be paid to all regular employees based on the "control point" for the classification to which the position occupied by the employee is assigned. The Personnel Officer is directed to assign specific rates of pay to all employees, in accordance with the City of Danville's compensation policies, which are not less than 20 per cent below the "control point", nor more than 10 per cent above the "control point".
