RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE
CONSENTING TO AND CALLING A JOINT PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE
DOWNTOWN REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND THE
FINAL EIR RELATING THERETO
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Danville (the
"Agency"), by Resolution No. 3-86 on June 2, 1986, consented to and
requested that the City Council of the City of Danville (the "City
Council") call a joint public hearing of the Agency and the City
Council to consider and act upon the proposed Redevelopment Plan (the
"Redevelopment Plan" for the Downtown Redevelopment Project (the
"Project"), together with a joint public hearing on the Final
Environmental Impact Report relating thereto; and
WHEREAS, Section 33355 of the California Community Redevelopment
Law (Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.) authorizes a joint
public hearing on the proposed Redevelopment Plan with the consent of
the Agency and the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE DOES
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The city Council hereby consents to and, at the
request of the Agency, calls a joint public hearing of the Agency and
the City Council on Monday, July 7, 1986, at 7:30 p.m. in the Board
Room of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District Administration
Center, 699 Old Orchard Drive, Danville, to consider and act upon the
proposed Redevelopment Plan and all documents and evidence pertaining
thereto, together with a joint public hearing on the Final
Environmental Impact Report for the Project.
Section 2. The city Clerk of the city of Danville shall, in
cooperation with the Secretary of the Agency, prepare, publish and
mail such notices and documents and do all other acts as may be
necessary to carry out the purposes of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 2n4 day of June , 1986, by the
following vote:

SUBJECT:
Awarding of Bids for Pavement Management
Slurry Seal and Overlay Projects
This report describes the results of the bid openings
on May 29, 1986 for the above referenced projects and
recommends the award of contracts.
BACKGROUND
City Council has previously authorized the above projects as
part of the Pavement Management Program for the City of
Danville. The attached exhibits describe the locations of the
proposed slurry seal and overlay projects. The following bids
were received for the Pavement Management Slurry Seal and
Overlay Projects:

Valley Slurry Seal Company
$148,292.50
Overlay Project:
Gallagher & Burk, Inc.
MCE Corporation
Ransome Company
$116,135.00
$134,480.00
$163,815.00
RECOMMENDED ACTIONS
The City Engineer recommends that the Pavement Management Slurry
Seal Project be awarded to Valley Slurry Seal Company
for the sum of $148,292.50 and that the Overlay Project be
awarded to Gallagher & Burk, Inc. for the sum of $116,135.00 and
that the City Manager be authorized to execute the above
contracts for the performance of the proposed projects.
COST IMPACT
Expenditure of $264,427.50 from the Gas Tax Fund.
