Home My WebLink About032-86RESOLUTION NO. 32-86 A RESOLUTION OF THE DANVILLE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT (GPA 84-3) FOR THE EL CERRO STUDY AREA LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF 1-680, NORTH OF DIABLO ROAD, SOUTH OF EL PORTAL AND EAST OF DANVILLE BOULEVARD. WHEREAS, Sections 65350 et.seq. of the Government Code of the State of California prescribe the procedure for adopting and amending the City's General Plan; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 28-82 on October 1, 1982 this Council adopted the General Plan in the City of Danville; and WHEREAS, a study of the E1 Cerro Area was initiated by the City of Danville in order to study land use alternatives which might exist for the study area; and WHEREAS, as a result of this land use alternatives study, a land use plan for the study area was formulated, implementation of this plan necessitating amendment of the City's General Plan; and WHEREAS, on February 10, 1986, after holding a duly noticed public hearing, the Planning Commission recommended that the City Council amend the General Plan for the E1 Cerro Study Area addressing thirteen areas within the Study Area; and WHEREAS, the City Council on April 10, 1986 and held on May 5, 1986 duly noticed public hearings to consider the proposed General Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered substantial factual information presented by City staff and has considered all public testimony presented in writing or during the public hearing regarding the proposed General Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed and considered the Final EIR for the project as certified by City Council Resolution 25-86; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that amendment of the General Plan for the E1 Cerro Study Area is in the public interest. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council hereby: 1. Amends the General Plan Map for the E1 Cerro Study Area as delineated in Exhibit 1 and 2 of the resolution and 2. Initiates rezoning of the properties along La Gonda Way south of E1 Cerro Boulevard with a specific intent of requiring parcel consolidation in order to avoid individual development of small parcels.
