HomeMy WebLinkAbout087-84 RESOLUTION NO. 87-84 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE Abatement of substandard structure and debris at 215 Montair Dr., Danville, CA Parcel No. 199-180-019-2 WHEREAS: 1) Richard J. Larscheid and Sharon D. Larschied are the owners of property ("subject property") located at 215 Montair Dr., Danville (Parcel Number 199-180-019-2); and 2) It appears from evidence presented by the County Building Inspector the above subject property has a substandard uninhabitable structure that constitutes a hazard to and endangers the health, safety and welfare of the public, under Chapter 10, Section 1001 A through 0 of the 1979 Edition of the Uniform Housing Code; and, 3) Substandard buildings may be abated under contra Costa County Code Section 712-4.006, adopted by the City of Danville by reference of Ordinance 263; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Danville, California, Resolves as follows: 1. The structure is hereby declared substandard and a public nuisance. 2. The owner of the subject property is directed to abate the nuisance by having the structure and debris removed or in alternative to remove all nuisances to the satisfaction of the City within 30 days after the date of posting a notice of the passage of this resolution on the premises. 3. The Building Inspection Department is granted authority to contract for the clearing of the property if the owner has not cleared the site of the structure and debris within the time specified in paragraph 2. If the County must contract for the work to be done, a lien shall be placed against the subject property for the cost of this abatement. 4. The Building Inspection Department is directed to post and mail notices of this resolution directing abatement of a nuisance in the manner required by law and for the period required before any actual abatement. 542 San Ramon Valley Blvd. * Danville, CA * 94526 * (415) 820-6337 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Danville on September 4, 1984 by the following votes AYES.
