RESOLUTION NO. 69 -84
A RESOLUTION PRELZ~INARILY APPROVING ENG~'S REPORT,
DECLARING INTENTION TO ORDER LEVY AND C~.FCTION OF
ASSESSMK~TS AND PROVIDING FOR NOTICE OF HEARING THEREOF
DANVILLE STREET LIGHTING AND LANDSCAPE
ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 1983-1
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Danville, County of
Contra Costa~ California, that
1. On June 18, 1984, this City Council adopted Resolution
No. 60-84, A Resolution Directing Preparation of Annual Report for
the Danville Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District 1983-1,
(the "District"). Pursuant to said resolution, a report, in accord-
ance with Section 22565 et seq. of the California Streets and Highways
Code, has been made, filed with the City Clerk, duly considered by
this City Council, and is hereby deemed sufficient and preliminarily
approved. Said report shall stand as the Engineer's Report for all
subsequent proceedings under and pursuant to the foregoing resolution.
2. It is the intention of this City Council to levy and collect
assessments within the Danville Street Lighting and Landscape Assess-
ment District 1983-1 for the fiscal year 1984 - 1985. Within said
District, the existing and proposed improvements and any substantial
changes proposed to be made to the existing improvements are generally
as described on Exhibit A attached hereto and hereby made a part hereof.
3. Said District consists of all of those portions of the
former county service areas, L-42, M-6, M-21, and M-22, located within
the area bounded by the corporate limits of the City of Danville,
County of Contra Costa, California.
4. Reference is hereby made to the aforementioned Engineer's
Report, on file with the City Clerk, for a full and detailed descrip-
tion of the improvements, the boundaries of the proposed maintenance
assessment district and the proposed assessments upon assessable lots
and parcels of land within said district.
5. Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 6th day of August,
1984, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock ~.m., in the regular meeting
place of this City Council, 699 Old Orchard Drive
Danville , California, a
hearing by the City Council will be held on the question of the levy
of the proposed assessment.
Prior to the conclusion of said hearing, any interested
person may file a written protest with said Clerk, or, having
previously filed a protest, may file a written withdrawal of that
protest. A written protest shall state all grounds of objection. A
protest by a property owner shall contain a description sufficient to
identify the property owned by such owner.
6. The City Clerk shall cause notice of said hearing to be given
by publishing a copy of this resolution once, at least ten (10~ days
prior to the date of the hearing above specified, in the
Valley Times , a newspaper circulated in the City of
Danville.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the Council of the City of Danville, at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 16th day of July, 1984, by the following
vote, to wit:

Description of Improvements
The "Danville Street Lighting and Landscape Assessment District
No. 1983-1" provides for the levy and collection of assessments
sufficient to pay for improvements generally described as
follows:
The installation of landscaping, public lighting
facilities and facilities appurtenant thereto or
which are necessary or convenient for their
maintenance or servicing, and the maintenance or
servicing of the foregoing.
The improvements for the 1984/85 fiscal year would be limited
to the servicing or maintenance, or both of existing public
lighting facilities.
No substantial changes in the existing improvements are
proposed for the 1984/85 fiscal year.
