RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Danville as
follows:
1. Notice is given that the City of Danville has received
an application from Ponderosa Cable Limited applying for a
franchise to establish a cable television system within a
portion of the City of Danville.
2. The character of the franchise desired is a franchise
to establish and maintain a cable television system as defined
in section 10-103(5) of the Danville Municipal Code (see
Ordinance No. 23-83) within a portion of the City of Danville
comprising lands located east of Interstate Highway 680 and
north and south of Sycamore Valley and Camino Tajassara Roads.
A precise map of the area proposed to be served is shown on a
map attached to the Ponderosa application and is on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
3. The City Council adopted on May 21, 1984, Resolution No.
53-84 determining that the City will receive and process
applications and fixing the tentative terms and conditions of
the franchises. Interested persons are referred to that
Resolution for further particulars. A copy may be obtained by
contacting the office of Michael Davis, City Manager, 542 San
Ramon Valley Boulevard, Danville, California 94526 (Telephone:
415/820-6337).
4. The application of Ponderosa Cable Systems is on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Danville. The
application may be inspected at the City ~ffices located at
542 San Ramon Valley Boulevard
Danville, CA 94526
during the hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

5. All persons having an interest in or objection to
the grant of the franchise who wish to file a written protest
or written comment on the application must do so by filing
the same no later than Thursday, June 1, 1984, at the hour
of 5:00 p.m. at the Danville City Offices, 542 San Ramon Valley
Boulevard, Danville, California 94526.
6. The City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday,
June 4, 1984, at the hour of 7:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as
is possible at 699 Old Orchard Drive, Danville, California.
All persons having an interest in or objection to the grant of
the franchise may appear before the City Council and be heard.
7. The City Clerk is directed to publish this Resolution
once in the Valley Times
, a newspaper
of general circulation, at least ten (10) days before the date
set for the hearing.
