A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE
Awarding a Contract For Installation of a Traffic Signal
System on Sycamore Valley Road at Old Orchard Drive

Whereas, the City Council has previously approved plans and
specifications for this project, and competitive bids were
solicited, received and evaluated by the City Engineer as
follows:
Wt~ereas, the City Engineer tlas recommended that the bid listed
first aDove is the lowest responsible bid and this Council
concurs and so finds;
Therefore, Be It Resolved By The City Council of the City of
Danville that the contract for the furnishing of labor and
materials for said work is awarded to said L.K. Comstock at the
listed amount and at the unit prices submitted in said surety
bonds as indicated above; that the City Engineer shall prepare
the contract therefore; and
Be It Further Resolved that, after the contractor has signed the
contract and returned it together with bonds as noted above and
any required certificates of insurance or other required
documents, and the City Engineer has reviewed and found them to
be sufficient, the City Manager is authorized to sign the
contract for the Council; and
Be It Further Resolved that, in accordance with the project
specifications and/or upon execution of the contract by the City,
any bid bonds posted by the bidders are to be exonerated and any
checks or cash submitted for bid security shall be returned; and
Be It Further Resolved that, the cost of this contract plus any
City expenses for design of tile signal system and administration
of the construction contract shall be reimbursed to the City by
either fees and/or assessment district proceeds of projects
occurring with the Sycamore Specifc Plan area.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 12th day of April, 1984, by
the following vote:
AYES: Lane, May, Mc Neely, Schlendorf
NOES: None
