HomeMy WebLinkAbout018-83 RESOLUTION NO. 18-83 RESOLUTION GRANTING JURISDICTION Assessment District No. 1981-1, San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Contra Costa County, California The City Council of the City of Danville resolves: Pursuant to Section 10103 of the Streets and Highways Code (Municipal Improvement Act of 1913), the County of Contra Costa has submitted to this City Council a proposed Resolution of Intention to order improvements and levy special assessments within a special assessment district to be known as Assessment District No. 1981-1, San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Contra Costa County, California, together with an adopted boundary map of the proposed assessment district. A portion of the land to be assessed lies within the territory of this City. This Council hereby consents to the formation of this assessment district andto the work described in the proposed Resolution of Intention, a copy of which is attached to this resolution as Exhibit A. This Council consents to the assumption of jurisdiction by the County of Contra Costa, with the understanding that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County may hereafter take each and every step required for or suitable for consummation of the work and the levying, collecting and enforcement of the assessments to cover the expenses thereof, and the issuance and enforcement of bonds to represent unpaid assessments. This Council agrees that the County of Contra Costa shall be the "lead agency" as defined in the California ORIGINAL Environmental Quality Act for the purpose of complying with the requirements of that statute. Pursuant to Section 65402 Paragraph (b) of the Govern- ment Code of the State of California, the City Council hereby finds that the improvement constitutes a street widening of a minor nature within the meaning of that paragraph, and that there- fore it shall not be required that the proposal be submitted to the City Planning Commission for a report as to its conformity with the General Plan. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to deliver a certified copy of this resolution to the County Clerk of the County of Contra Costa. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Danville, Contra Costa County, California, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 7th day of March, 1983, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: ABSENT: MICHAEL M.
