RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF EARBAk~ HALE
RESOLUTION 60-82
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville has many talented citizens
who have contributed to the growth and development of our
community, and
WHEREAS, one of Danville's most distinguished citizens,
Barbara Hale, has served the citizens of Danville by tirelessly
contributing her time, talents and creativity to help build the
unique community which all Danville residents now enjoy, and
WHEREAS, Barbara Hale has enriched the lives of those who
knew her personally, as well as those who did not, through her
efforts to improve the quality of life in our town, and
WHEREAS, Barbara Hale's many Contributions to the community
were recently recognized when she was named the Outstanding
Citizen of the Year in the Diablo Valley, and
WHEREAS, among recent examples of Barbara Hale's contribu-
tions was her success in helping establish the bike trail be-
tween Alameda Diablo and Green Valley School, and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Town of Danville
recognize the special contributions which Barbara Hale gave to
her community during her lifetime,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Council of the
Town of Danville hereby dedicates its Town Council Meeting of
December 20; 1982 in the memory of Barbara Hale, and officially
expresses the community's sorrow to her family upon the passing
of Barbara Hale, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the bike trail along Diablo
Road shall henceforth be known as the BARBAP~ HALE Bicycle Path.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of December, 1982, by
unanimous vote of the Danville Town Council.
