RESOLUTION NO. 2006-26
RECOMMENDING THAT THE TOWN COUNCIL APPROVE ZONING TEXT
AMENDMENT ZT A 2005-02 AMENDING ARTICLE I (GENERAL PROVISIONS)
SECTION 32-1.7, ARTICLE II (DEFINITIONS) SECTIONS 32-2.2 AND 32-2.3, AND
ARTICLE V (DISTRICT REGULATIONS) SECTION 32-22 UNDER CHAPTER 32 OF
THE PLANNING AND LAND USE CODE
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville has initiated a review of Single Family Residential
development criteria through Zoning Text Amendment request ZT A 2005-02, with such
review serving to amend the Town's Single Family Residential Ordinance and related
regulations; and
WHEREAS, the Single Family Residential Ordinance applies to lands identified within the
Danville General Plan land use map as Single Family Residential; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did review the project at two study sessions held
respectively on November 8, 2005 and June 27, 2006, and held noticed public hearings to
consider the matter on October 10, 2006, October 24, 2006, and November 14,2006; and
WHEREAS, a Negative Declaration of Environmental Significance has been prepared for this
project indicating that no significant environmental impacts are expected to be associated with
the adoption of this ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the public notice of this action was given in all respects as required by law; and
WHEREAS, a staff report was submitted recommending that the Planning Commission
recommend Town Council approval of Zoning Text Amendment request ZT A 2005-02; and
WHEREAS, the Plam1ing Commission did hear and consider all reports, recommendations,
and testimony submitted in writing and presented at the hearing; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the Town of Danville recommends that the
Town Council approve ZTA 2005-02.
APPROVED by the Danville Plam1ing Commission at a regular meeting on November 14,
2006 by the following vote:
