A RESOLUTION OF THE PIANNING COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE
RECOMMENDING THAT THE TOWN COUNCIL
APPROVE ZONING TEXT AMENDMENT ZTA 96-02 PERTAINING TO
AMENDMENTS TO THE TOWN'S SIGN ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville has requested approval of a Zoning Text Amendment ZTA
96-01 pertaining to amendments to the Town's sign ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did review the project at a noticed public hearing on
June 25, 1996; and
WHEREAS, the public notice of this action was given in all respects as required by law; and
WHEREAS, a staff report was submitted recommending that the Planning Commission
approve the request; and
WHEREAS,the Planning Commission did hear and consider all reports, recommendations,
and testimony submitted in writing and presented at the hearing; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the Town of Danville recommends approval
of the Zoning Text Amendment ZTA 96-02 pertaining to amendments to the Town's sign
ordinance and makes the following findings in support of the action:
The proposed ordinance is consistent with the goals and policies contained within
the Danville 2005 General Plan.
The proposed ordinance will allow for the reasonable enforcement of the Town's
sign ordinance.
Based on the completion of the Initial Study of Environmental Significance and
comments received, there is no substantial evidence before the Town that the project
will have a significant effect on the environment.
