RESOLUTION NO. 91-30
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE
RECOMMENDING THE TOWN COUNCIL ADOPT THE TOWN OF DANVILLE
LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL GUIDELINES
V~-IERF~S, The Town of Danville has requested approval of Town Local Environmental
Guidelines; and
XVHERFa~S, adoption of local Environmental Guidelines, consistent with the requirements
of the California Environmental Quality Act, is required under section 15022 of the State
Environmental Guidelines; and
WHERF~S, the local Environmental Guidelines will assist staff in complying with all
requirements of the California Environment Act, facilitate in the orderly preparation of
environmental documents, and allow for greater public understanding of the
environmental review process; and
Vv~IEREAS, the Planning Commission did review the project at their meeting of August
13, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the public notice of this action was given in all respects as required by law;
and
WHEREAS, a staff report was submitted recommending that Planning Commission
approve the Environmental Guidelines.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Planning Commission of the Town of
Danville recommends that the Town Council adopt the local Environmental Guidelines
and makes the following findings in support of the Environmental Guidelines:
The proposed Environmental Guidelines are consistent with the Danville 2005
General Plan.
Adoption of the local Environmental Guidelines is consistent with requirements of
the California Environmental Quality Act.
3. Adoption of the Environmental Guidelines will assist the Town in the

environmental review of projects further aiding in the fulfillment of specific
General Plan Goals and Policies such as:

consideration of potential public service and fiscal impacts of new
development;
b. consideration of cumulative effects of development;

minimizing the risk to lives and property due to seismic, flood, and geologic
hazards;

consideration of air-pollution impacts during the development review
process; and
e. the consideration of visual impacts that may result from a proposed project.

The guidelines will increase public knowledge of the project review process as it
relates to the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act.
APPROVED by the Danville Planning Commission at a Regular Meeting on August 13,
1991, by the following vote:'
