Findings and Conditions of Approval
LUP 88-13; 20/20 Recycling Center
Findings
The use will not be detrimental to the health, safety and
general welfare of the residents in the Town;
The use will not adversely affect the orderly development
of property within the Town;
The use will not adversely affect the preservation of
property values and the protection of the tax base within
the Town;
The use will not adversely affect the policy and goals as
set by the general plan;

The use will not create a nuisance and/or enforcement
problem within the neighborhood or community;
The use will no% encourage marginal development within
the neighborhood;
That special conditions or unique characteristics of the
subject property and its location or surroundings exist
justifying the approval of this land use permit.
Conditions of Approval
Except as may be modified by the following conditions,
the project development shall be substantially as shown
in the plans labeled Exhibit C, D & E of the Planning
Commission Staff Report dated September 15, 1988 for LUP
88-13.
The recycling center shall be located in two parking
stalls shown in Exhibit C. If additional area is needed
to accommodate another igloo, or other facilities the
expanded area of operation shall be subject to review and
approval by the Chief of Planning.
Two freestanding signs are approved for this recycling
center. One 6 square foot sign may be utilized to serve
as a directional sign. This sign shall be located near
the Village Shopping Center entrance as shown in the
above cited Exhibit C. One 12 ft. high 2 ft. by 3 ft.
sign may be utilized and shall be located behind the
kiosk in the Dlanter striD adjacent to the ~i~ting
parking stalls. In addition to the two signs, facility
hours of operation shall be posted on a wall mounted sign
placed on the kiosk and in all service area grocery
stores.
This Land Use Permit will be reevaluated in six months
and annually thereafter to verify conformance with these
Findings and Conditions of Approval. If conditions
warrant, the Chief of Planning may modify the Conditions
of Approval for the Land Use Permit or refer the Land Use
Permit to the Planning Commission for their
consideration.

The voluntary drop-off box shall be removed and replaced
by a larger bin if determined to be necessary by the
Chief of Planning as part of his regular review of this
permit.

The site shall be maintained in a clean and orderly
condition. Site cleanup and maintenance activities shall
be performed on a routine basis.
Hours of truck pick-up of recycled materials left at this
facility shall be limited to 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
This permit shall be revocable for cause in accordance
with Section 26-2.2022 of the Danville Zoning Ordinance.
The applicant shall post information in all supermarkets
located in the surrounding "convenience zone" on the
location of the closet recycling center, its hours of
operation, information on recyclable products and
deposits and any other information determined to be
pertinent to promote recycling.
