Conditions of Approval
Danville Inn Landscape Plan
DP 87-20
This approval is for the Danville Inn landscape plan.
Project landscaping shall be substantially as shown on
sheets L1-L3 prepared by Camp and Camp Associates, dated
August 18, 1988.
Ail trees located around the perimeter of the site and in
all landscaped islands shall be a minimum of 24 inch box
specimen sized trees.
Additional trees shall be planted on both sides of the
hotel covered entrance. The placement and tree size
shall be subject to review and approval by the Planning
Department.
The decorative entry paving shall blend with the masonry
to be used on the hotel, but shall be darker in tone in
order to conceal oil stains. The final material to be
used shall be subject to Planning Department approval.
Vines and shrubbery shall be planted along the exterior
foundations of the building and shall be subject to
review and approval by the Planning Department. All
foundation plantings located adjacent to the parking
areas shall be of such a height to effectively screen
vehicles.
Tall, fast growing evergreen trees shall be utilized in
the Final Landscape Plan along the eastern boundary of
the site and shall coordinate with the landscape plan for
the Costco development located directly to the east.
Plant staking details shall be subject to review and
approval by the Planning Department. Generally, these
details shall be of a stable design to withstand
substantial wind velocities.
The decorative paving treatment around the pool shall be
heat resident.
Additional landscaping in-ground and in planter boxes
shall be incorporated into the pool area. Vines shall be
incorporated on fences and walls in this area.
Cascading shrubs shall be installed on the east side of
the second floor deck overlooking the pool. The type of
cascading shrub shall be subject to Planning Department
aDDroval.

A final landscaping plan shall be submitted for review
and approval by the Planning Department prior to the
issuance of a building permit.
Ail plant material (including all container plantings)
shall be served by an automatic underground irrigation
system and maintained in a healthy growing condition.
Ail landscaped areas not covered by shrubs and trees
shall be planted with live ground cover.
Berming up to 4 feet in height shall be provided adjacent
to the building where feasible and in other landscaped
areas as the size of the planting areas may permit.
Landscaping shall not obstruct sight distance at the
driveway or within the parking lot.
