R RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF DANVILLE
Approval of:
R Conceptual Open Space Plan as a Part of the Sycamore Uallev
Specific Plan and Recommendation of Same to the City Council_
The S~camore Ualley Specific Plan, including an Open
Space Element, was adopted by the Board of Supervisors
in June, 1981; and that Plan was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Danville upon incorporation in
:1.982 _
The approved Sycamore Ualley Specific Plan included
provision for operation and maintenance of aggregate
open space by a master homeouners association or other
viable alternative.
On August 14, 19Bq, the East Bay Regional Park District
adopted Resolution No. 1984-8-225 establishing a
"Regioqal Open Space" land use category for inclusion
in the District's Master Plan_
The City of Danville, the East Bay Regional Park
District (EBRPB) and developers of Sycamore Ualley have
been coordinating an effort to create one aggregate.
open space system to be dedicated to and maintained b~
EBRPD as a logical alternative to use of master
homeowners association for those purposes_
The Sycamore Valley Open Space Plan includes continuous
open space, a trail system, ridgeline preserves and
access to developing projects.
The Conceptual Open Space Plan (Exhibit A) was reviewed
by the Planning Commission and ~as subject to public
review and comment at at regular meeting on
January 28, 198S.
NOV THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the
City of Danville adopts the Conceptual OPen Space Plan
(Exhibit R); a part of the Sycamore Valley Specific Plan; and
recommends adoption of same to the Danville City Council_
