AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADJUST
TOWN COUNCIL COMPENSATION
The Town Council of the Town of Danville does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION I: AMENDMENT OF CHAPTER II, ARTICLE 1, SECTION 2-1.3.
Chapter II, Article 1, Section 2-1.3 (b) and (c) (1) of the Danville Municipal Code are
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) Population of the Town. The latest estimate of population of the Town is 36,566."
"(c)(1) Amount. Under the authority of Government Code Sections 36516 and 36516.5,
each member of the Town Council shall receive compensation in the amount of $400.00
per month, payable at the same time and in the same manner as the salary paid to the
officers and employees of the Town."
SECTION 2: EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall become effective on January 1, 1996.
The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the Town Council of the Town
of Danville held on November 15, 1995, and was adopted and ordered published at a
meeting of the Town Council on November 21, 1995, by the following vote:
AYES: Greenberg, Doyle,
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None
