HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-04 ORDINANCE NO. 93-4 AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE REPEALING SPECIFIED CHAPTERS WITHIN TITLE 8 - ZONING OF THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY CODE, ADOPTED BY REFERENCE ON JULY 1, 1982 THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. PURPOSE The purpose of this article is to provide minimum standards to safeguard life, health, property and the public welfare in keeping with the unique character of the Town of Danville by regulating land use. SECTION 2. REPEAL Chapters 84-32, 84-34, 84-40, 84-46, 84-49, 84-50, 84-56, 84-60, 84-62, 84-64, 84-68, 84-70, 84-72, 84-80, 84-82, 84-84, Division 86, Chapters 88-4, 88-6, 88-8, 88-9, 88-11, Division 814 and Division 816 of the Contra Costa County Code, adopted by reference on July 1, 1982 as the Danville Municipal Code is hereby repealed. SECTION 3. PUBLICATION The City Clerk shall either a) have this Ordinance published once within 15 days after adoption in a newspaper of general circulation or b) have asummar¥ of thisOrdinance published twice in a newspaper of general circulation once nve aays oerore Its aaopuon and again within 15 days after adoption. SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE This Ordinance becomes effective 30 days after its adoption. SECTION 5. CODIFICATION No part of this Ordinance shall be codified in the Danville Municipal Code. The foregoing Ordinance was first read and introduced at a Regular Meeting on June 1, 1993 and adopted by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on June 15, 1993 by the following vote: AYES: SHIMANSKY, RITCHEY, DOYLE, GREENBERG, LANE NOES: NONE ABSTAINED: NONE or APPROVED AS TO FORM: ATTEST: CLt~r Attorney City Clerk
