HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-01 BEFORE THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE In the Matter of ) An Ordinance Extending Ordinance ) No. 128 (Adopting as an Urgency ) Measure an Interim Ordinance to ) Suspend Issuance of Demolition and ) Other Permits for Historic Structures) Ordinance No. 89-1 The Town Council of the Town of Danville does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Findings. Ordinance No. 128, Adopting as an Urgency Measure an Interim Ordinance to Suspend Issuance of Demolition and Other Permits for Historic Structures, was adopted by the Town Council as an urgency measure on January 21, 1988 under the authority of Government Code Section 65858. On February 18, 1988, the Town Council extended Ordinance 128 for a period of 10 months and 15 days. The ordinance will expire on January 21, 1989 unless extended. On January 5, 1989 the Council held a properly noticed public hearing to determine whether to extend the ordinance for an additional year. SECTION 2. Extension. Ordinance No. 128 (adopted on January 21, 1988) is extended to January 5, 1990. SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance is adopted under Government Code Section 65858 as an urgency ordinance and takes effect immediately. SECTION 4. Publication. The Town Clerk shall have this ordinance published once within 15 days after adoption in a newspaper of general circulation. The foregoing ordinance was adopted at a meeting of the Town Council, the Town of Danville at a meeting held on January 5, 1989.
