The City Council of the City of Danville DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Findings.
Ordinance 47-85, an interim ordinance establishing a study
zoning district in the City, was adopted by the City Council as
an urgency measure on January 7, 1985, under the authority of
Government Code S65858. Under the terms of Section 65858, the
ordinance was in effect for 45 days and was due to expire on
February 21, 1985, unless extended.
On February 21, 1985, the Council held a properly noticed public
hearing to determine whether to extend the ordinance. Following
the hearing, the Council decided to extend Ordinance 47-85 until
August 21, 1985.
On August 5, 1985, the Council held a properly notices public
hearing to determine whether to further extend the ordinance.
Following the hearing, the Council decided to extend
Ordinance 47-85 through September 24, 1985.
SECTION 2. Extension.
Ordinance 47-85, adopted on January 7, 1985, and extended on
February 21, 1985 is extended to and including September 24,
1985. After that date, the ordinance is repealed unless a
subsequent ordinance extends the date.
Reference is made to Ordinance 50-85, attached, for specific
terms.
SECTION 3. Effective Date.
This ordinance is adopted under Government Code S65858, as an
urgency ordinance and takes effect immediately.
SECTION 4. Publication.
The City Clerk shall have this ordinance (including the attached
Ordinance No. 50-85) published once within 15 days after
adoption in a newspaper of general circulation.
The foregoing ordinance was introduced, adopted and ordered
published at a meeting of the City Council of the city of
Danville held on August 5, 1985, by the following vote:
AYES: Lane, May, McNeely, Offenhartz, Schlendorf
