Findings. Ordinance 27-84, an interim ordinance to suspend development along ridgeline areas of the City, was adopted by the City Council as an urgency measure on January 16, 1984, under the authority of Government Code Section 65858. Under the terms of Section 65858, the ordinance is in effect for 45 days and will expire unless extended. On March 5 , 1984, the Council held a properly noticed public hearing to determine whether to extend the ordinance. Following the hearing, the Council decided to extend Ordinance 27-84 to July 1, 1984. SECTION 2. Extension. Ordinance 27-84, adopted on January 16, 1984, is extended to July 1, 1984 or until the effective date of an ordinance establishing permanent regulations applicable to the development of land located within scenic hillside and ridgeline areas, whichever date occurs first. After that date the ordinance is repealed unless a subsequent ordinance extends the date. The ordinance extended applies to the land set forth in Exhibit "A". Reference is made to the specific terms of Ordinance 27-84, attached, e~cept with reference to the area described. SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance is adopted under Goverment Code Section 65858, as an urgency ordinance and takes effect immediately. SECTION 4. Publication. The City Clerk shall have this ordinance (including the attached Ordinance 27-84) published once within 15 days after adoption in a newspaper of general circulation. -1- The foregoing ordinance was introduced, adopted and ordered published at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Danville held on March 5 , 1984, by the following vote: AYES: Lane, Mc Neely, Offenhartz, Schlendorf NOES: May ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None MAYO U C Ik~..
